2026 Next Gen All-Star: Matthew Brugner

Bringing fresh perspective to a 92-year-old manufacturer

Matthew Brugner

Age: 33
Title: President
Company: Missouri Pipe Fittings

Until Matthew Brugner became president of Missouri Pipe Fittings (MOPIPE), in January 2025, he knew little to nothing about the PVF industry. He joined MOPIPE shortly after the American manufacturer was acquired by Stacker Holdings.

“Let’s just say the dinner-table conversation about running a pipe nipple manufacturer was…unique,” Brugner.

Nearly two years later, Brugner says he feels fortunate to be part of an industry built around what has always drawn him to business: real people, real jobs and real impact.

“The opportunity to help lead a 92-year-old American manufacturer into its next chapter felt both fascinating and rewarding,” Brugner said. “It also struck me as an industry where new energy, strong execution, and genuine relationships still matter.”

Those relationships have become one of the most rewarding parts of the job. From the MOPIPE team to vendors, customers, end-users, and fellow manufacturers, Brugner values the down-to-earth people he has met throughout the industry. He recalls leaving his first American Supply Association (ASA) event energized by the relationships he was building and the people he expects to know for years to come.

That people-first focus also drives Brugner’s leadership. His goal is simple: Build a business people are proud to work for. For Brugner, that requires consistent execution, a clear vision for the future and a strong commitment to MOPIPE’s core values.

Talent acquisition has become part of that strategy. According to Austin Reichardt of Stacker Holdings, Brugner has looked beyond the industry’s traditional hiring pools to build a team with fresh perspectives that are helping shape how MOPIPE operates, competes, and attracts employees.

“Matt also brings a genuine commitment to the broader industry … He is engaged in conversations about where the industry is headed, what customers will need next, and how companies like his can lead rather than react,” said Reichardt.

Brugner’s proudest moment so far came when MOPIPE landed a major national distribution customer for stock orders. More than the win itself, Brugner was proud of what it represented.

“Growth creates more jobs and more opportunities for our people, and we believe this is the first of many wins still to come,” Brugner said.
