“I enjoy learning about products and getting to share that knowledge with others,” Hasley said.

That interest has translated naturally into his current role, where he enjoys building long-term relationships and helping clients identify the right products for their projects.

“One of the great joys of this role is when someone calls me with a short deadline and I am able to help them quickly and effectively,” he said.

Knowing his expertise can help someone solve a problem motivates Hasley to continue learning. He's particularly interested in the industry's role in protecting public health and safety: something he wishes more people understood.

“Products such as master mixing valves help control water temperatures and protect people from scalding, while also helping reduce the spread of Legionella,” Hasley said. “The PHCP-PVF industry plays a crucial role in public safety and health.”

Despite being early in his own PHCP-PVF career, some of Hasley's proudest moments have come from helping others who are just getting started. He enjoys working with young engineers and designers, introducing them to new products and coordinating educational opportunities.

“Being a resource to the next generation is very rewarding,” he said.

Hasley's own path into the industry was anything but conventional. Before joining Wiggs-Haun & Bohan, his career wasn't in plumbing, engineering or sales. It was in healthcare management.

“Prior to this role I worked as a hospice director,” Hasley said.

That experience may seem far removed from PHCP-PVF, but both careers share an important thread for Hasley: the opportunity to be of service to others.
