One example was particularly relatable: waiting for hot water.

“I used to complain about how long it took to get hot water, and now I know there are systems and components that provide instant hot water efficiently, without waste,” Camacho said.

That curiosity has since turned into an eight-year career. Now 29, Camacho serves as Product Manager for Caleffi North America, where knowing that his work contributes to the company's daily operations and performance is one of the most rewarding aspects of his job.

He's also motivated by the people working alongside him.

“Being part of a team that works toward a common goal each and every day” keeps him moving forward, Camacho said.

His experience has given him a greater appreciation for just how much plumbing and HVAC systems influence everyday life: something he wishes more people outside the industry understood.

“I wish more people understood the importance of plumbing and HVAC in their daily lives, and realize that there are systems and products available to solve problems they might think are unfixable,” he said.

For Camacho, one particularly meaningful indication that his efforts were making a difference came when he received his first Employee Recognition Award at Caleffi.

He considers the recognition, which honored the passion and effort he brings to the company, his proudest career moment so far.

But Camacho's path to the PHCP-PVF industry didn't begin in plumbing or HVAC. Before joining Caleffi and beginning the career he's built over the past eight years, he worked in an entirely different field: law enforcement. Camacho was in the police force before making the switch to Caleffi.
