2026 Next Gen All-Star: Katherine Asa
Curiosity builds a career in PHCP-PVF

For Katherine Asa, a career in the PHCP-PVF industry started with curiosity about something most people encounter every day without giving much thought to how it got there.
“I wanted to understand how the building materials we use every day are actually made and distributed,” Asa said.
That interest has blossomed into an 11-year career. Asa serves as Sales Manager at Lentus, LLC, where her appreciation for the industry has expanded beyond the products themselves to the people behind them.
“The people, without a doubt,” Asa said of the most rewarding part of her career, “especially the multigenerational family businesses that have been part of this industry for decades.”
Being able to support her own family through that work makes it even more meaningful.
Asa's curiosity hasn't disappeared, either. She's constantly looking for opportunities to learn and find better ways of doing things.
“I'm always trying to learn how things can be made more efficiently,” she said. “Someday, I'd love to be part of developing a truly revolutionary building material.”
That drive to keep learning has also shown Asa just how many different career paths exist within PHCP-PVF: something she wishes more people outside the industry understood.
“There are so many creative ways to build a career here,” she said. “Marketing, design, materials science, the industry is full of opportunity for people who might not realize there's a place for them in it.”
Asa's own career in sales has required growth beyond technical and industry knowledge. She considers pushing herself outside of her social comfort zone one of her proudest accomplishments, particularly because the confidence she's gained has carried over into other areas of her life.
“Katherine has built a reputation as a motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking professional,” said Jennifer Williams, business development manager, Lentus. “She approaches every challenge with curiosity, takes initiative to identify opportunities for improvement, and is driven to develop practical, innovative solutions.”
Outside of work, Asa channels her creativity into a much sweeter medium: elaborate cakes for her friends.
Her creations have ranged from a giant strawberry to her most recent project, a kiwi bird, proving that creativity isn't limited to her work in the PHCP-PVF industry.
