IAPMO makes the 2025 Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code technical committee meeting monographs available online.

The document addresses the need for enforceable safety provisions for geothermal district ambient temperature loop systems.

The deadline to submit comments is Sept. 5.

The deadline to apply has been extended to July 12.

The Technical Committee Meeting Monographs contain every code change proposal submitted for the 2027 editions of the UPC and UMC as part of the ANSI-accredited consensus code development process employed by IAPMO.

The 2024 Uniform Codes will once again be available electronically.

Attendees will still be required to register in order to participate.

No proposals will be accepted after the 5 p.m. PST deadline on Jan. 4, 2021.

Developed and subsequently republished at the conclusion of each three-year code cycle, the UPC and UMC are designed to provide consumers with plumbing, heating and mechanical systems that meet all applicable standards while, at the same time, allowing latitude for innovation and new technologies.
