In this 1.5-hour webinar, instructor Randy Lorge will review how to use the Water Demand Calculator, highlight its technical benefits, and demonstrate how to apply it to accurately right-size a water distribution system.
According to IAPMO, new home plumbing systems are often excessively designed, driving up costs due to reliance on a nearly 90-year-old pipe sizing formula. The IAPMO Water Demand Calculator for residential construction offers a modern solution. "By minimizing water aging, ensuring faster hot water delivery, and yielding substantial construction cost savings, it not only reduces the structure’s carbon footprint but also leads to long-term savings on water- and water heating-related energy bills."
This webinar will be based on Appendix G in the NSPC, titled WeStand Excerpts, which can be used as a reference standard in accordance with Appendix E - Special Design Plumbing Systems, however, it closely resembles Appendix M and A in the UPC.
