Four years ago, I attended my first AHR Expo in Chicago. And no matter how many times my colleagues warned me to bring my walking shoes, I was blown away by the sheer size of the event. I put in my daily 10,000 steps — and then some — walking back and forth between the halls learning about ductless mini-splits, cooling towers, boilers, water heaters and more.
Six years ago this month, I attended my first AHR Expo. It was in Dallas that year, and I was there covering it for one of PM’s sister publications, The NEWS.
In my travels as editor of this magazine, I’ve listened in on numerous tradespeople at meetings and events lamenting how entitled the younger generation of workers are, and how they generally lack ambition and work ethic.
