Industry Death: Rusty Quarles
March 14, 2002
Former chairman of Contractors 2000, Rusty Quarles, died Feb. 16 of a heart attack. He was 53.
Quarles was the third-generation owner and president of Bank Quarles PHC Inc. in his lifetime home Tuscaloosa, Ala. Besides being a C-2000 member for eight years, he was also active in several other business and community organizations.
He is survived by wife Paula, daughter Karen, son Jeffery and several other family members.
