Data-logger manufacturer Onset recently added two members to its senior management team: James Towey and Michael Washkevich.

Data-logger manufacturerOnsetrecently hired two new members of its senior management team:James Toweyas the company’s new director of engineering andMichael Washkevichas the new director of operations.

With a strong background in product development, engineering R&D, design, manufacturing and support, Towey brings more than 25 years of extensive technology and business leadership experience to Onset. Most recently, he served as vice president of engineering for Empirix, and previously spent six years at Starent Networks as director of IP multimedia development.

Towey holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

An accomplished executive-level management professional for 25 years, Washkevich, has a long history of consistent success in maximizing corporate performance and executing business strategy. He comes to Onset after working as vice president of global operations for Humanscale Inc., where he held budgetary responsibility for $80 million and instituted Lean methodologies that resulted in impressive revenue-generating improvements.

Washkevich holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Central New England College and studied mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
