Hansgrohe/Axor Receive IAPMO Green Evaluation

January 19, 2011
Hansgrohe and Axor recently participated in the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) R & T Inc. Green Certification testing for their products.

Hansgrohe and Axor recently participated in the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) R & T Inc. Green Certification testing for their products, with nearly 150 of their showerheads, handshowers, and bath & kitchen fittings have been evaluated by the organization to date.

The program pre-classifies products and determines if they are in accordance with various green building codes. The listing also identifies water-efficiency based on the water use reduction when compared to the water use baseline indicated in each specification. So far, all the tested Hansgrohe and Axor models received a water use reduction rate of 30% or better.

“We understood that navigating through the various codes can be confusing,” said Russ Wheeler, president of Hansgrohe North America. “This single ‘Green’ certificate is a remarkable tool that we feel will be of great service to our trade and consumer customer base. Now they can reference this all-in-one green guide to quickly and easily select the Hansgrohe or Axor products that best fit their needs.”

For more information, refer to the online IAPMO R & T Product Listing Directory at http://pld.iapmo.org/default.asp and search for “Hansgrohe” to see which models are listed. The file number for the certificate is G-7233.
