Water Consumption Calculator
In celebration of World Water Day today and in keeping with
its ongoing commitment to improve water quality and availability, Underwriters
Laboratories (UL) is actively raising awareness of water quality and
conservation issues by launching an online Water Consumption Calculator.
The calculator can evaluate daily, weekly and annual household water consumption and provide tips on how to save water through simple lifestyle changes. Individuals can also make pledges to reduce water consumption. For each of the first 15,000 pledges received, UL will donate one dollar to Water for
People, an international organization committed to the development of locally sustainable drinking water, resources, sanitation facilities and health and hygiene education programs.
