J.F. Ahern Co. made several recent management changes: John Ransom was promoted from manager to vice president of the Plumbing Department; Doug Kitzman was promoted from branch manager of Ahern Fire Protection's Quad Cities, Ill., office to vice president of that office; Ernie North was promoted from branch manager of AFP's Eau Claire, Wis., district office to vice president; Van Fitch was promoted to vice president of AFP's Fond du Lac. Wis., district office from branch manager; Dick Wirt joined the company as leader of the HVAC Commissioning Team; Dan Haave joined the company as director of human resources; and Diane Riley was promoted from corporate receptionist to marketing coordinator.
The International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials announced the hiring of Lynne Simnick as north regional manager. She had been serving as staff secretariat to the ICC's International Plumbing Code Development Committee. IAPMO also hired Bill Schweitzer as manager of the north central region. He is the former chief plumbing inspector for Topeka, Kan. In addition, Donato Lozano was named manager of Mexican certification programs, responsible for auditing manufacturing plants in Mexico and Central America. He has served for the past seven years as general manager of Minerales Industriales de Lechugal.
Nexstar hired Ed Cerier as marketing strategist. With 20 years experience, Cerier most recently was founder and president of Marketing Works, a strategic marketing consulting firm.
Eric Jenison of Total Dynamic Balance Inc., Deerfield Beach, Fla., was elected president of the National Environmental Balancing Bureau at its annual meeting last fall in San Antonio. Jenison obtained NEBB-qualified status in 1987 and has more than 25 years of experience in Testing-Adjusting-Balancing and related fields.
