South Florida plumbers who were open for business the day after Thanksgiving posted some of their best numbers of the year thanks to the heavy amount of “stuff” people put through a home's plumbing/piping systems, as reported in the Miami Daily Herald.

“The day after Thanksgiving is 60 percent busier than a normal day,” Stu Stein, dispatch supervisor at Rapid Rooter in Miami, told the Herald. The company sent all 23 of its technicians out to service grateful clients' dripping faucets, broken garbage disposals and clogged pipes.

Vanessa Rios, office manager at All Pro Plumbing and Septic in Miami, told the Herald the majority of her company's calls were from septic tank users.

“When you have a lot of people going to the bathroom, your tank gets full faster. Everyone who called said they needed their tank pumped right away,” Rios said.
