LONMARK International will offer a new seminar series for facilities professionals starting in February with stops in 20 North American cities.

The “Building Open Systems Seminar Series” will help members of the commercial building industry make the transition from proprietary to open systems. The events are sponsored by several industry leaders, including Honeywell, Echelon and Siemens Building Technology.

This global program will take place in Europe and North America in the spring, and Asia in the fall of 2005. More information on the seminar series can be found by visiting www.buildingopensystems.com.

LONMARK is instrumental in the establishment of interoperable guidelines for building, industrial, transportation and residential/utility automation. Membership is open to any manufacturer, distributor, engineer, system integrator or end-user committed to the development, specification and use of open, interoperable products using ANSI/EIA/CEA 709.1 and related standards.
