Results of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractor’s recent legislative survey reveal that the rising cost of health care is the industry’s No. 1 legislative priority. Slightly behind healthcare was estate tax relief, and in third place was unfair utility competition. Ergonomics, mold, bid shopping and increasing the expense allowance rounded out the list. Licensing is the No. 1 priority at the state level, with retainage following at a distant second.
