Action Air Announces Acquisition of Air Comfort Systems
Action Air, a NexCore Partner, has acquired the Connecticut-based company.

Action Air Systems, LLC announced the successful tuck-in acquisition of Air Comfort Systems, Inc. (“Air Comfort” or the “Company”). This partnership represents a step in Action Air’s continued growth strategy and expands the company’s presence across southern Connecticut, including the Wallingford and greater New Haven markets. Action Air is a partner company of NexCore, a commercial HVAC platform with operations across multiple regions in the United States. NexCore is backed by Dallas-based private equity firm, Trinity Hunt Partners.
Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut, Air Comfort is a service-focused commercial HVAC provider specializing in preventative maintenance, repair and replacement work. The company serves a diverse base of commercial and industrial customers throughout southern Connecticut and has built a loyal, long-standing customer base supported by recurring maintenance relationships.
This acquisition aims to enhance Action Air’s geographic density in Connecticut, improving route efficiency, response times and overall service delivery. It also "strengthens Action Air’s recurring revenue base through additional preventative maintenance contracts while creating new opportunities to expand customer relationships and deliver more comprehensive HVAC solutions."
John Hauser, founder and owner of Air Comfort, has built a reputation for service quality and customer commitment over the past three decades. As part of the transaction, John will remain involved during a transition period to support integration efforts and ensure continuity for employees and customers.
Vinny Savino, president of Action Air, commented, “We are excited to welcome Air Comfort and its customers to the Action Air platform. Air Comfort has developed strong relationships across the Wallingford and New Haven markets, and their service-first approach aligns closely with our long-term strategy. This partnership strengthens our presence in Connecticut while enhancing our ability to deliver responsive, high-quality HVAC solutions to our customers.”
John Hauser added, “Partnering with Action Air and NexCore provides a strong foundation for the next chapter of Air Comfort. We are proud of the relationships we’ve built over the years, and I am confident that Action Air’s resources, technical capabilities, and commitment to service excellence will continue to support our customers and employees moving forward.”
Steve Knowles, CEO of NexCore, commented, “Air Comfort represents a highly attractive, maintenance-driven HVAC services business with a strong recurring revenue base and deep customer relationships. This acquisition further supports our strategy of partnering with service-oriented businesses that deliver consistent, high-quality solutions to their customers.”
As part of the integration, Action Air will onboard Air Comfort’s experienced service technicians and assume its preventative maintenance contracts and customer relationships. Customers can expect a seamless transition, with continuity in day-to-day service and the added benefit of Action Air’s expanded resources, technical expertise, and broader service capabilities.
