Egan advances 26-Year company leader Chris Weaver to president in planned transition
Longtime Egan leader takes the helm following unanimous executive support.

Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) has a new president. Chris Weaver, an employee of the company since 2000, stepped into the role this month with unanimous support from the executive team. Weaver was previously Egan’s Director of Technology, a role he has held since 2015. Outgoing President Andy Jasper will remain active at Egan, offering support to Weaver while focusing on business development.
“Chris Weaver is the ideal candidate to take over the reins at Egan,” said Jasper. “He brings deep knowledge of the company’s past in a way that ensures long-term stability for our employees and customers. At the same time, he has his pulse on the future of the construction industry, as we continue to lean into technology solutions that lead to better project outcomes.”
The company has been under the leadership of the Jasper family since 1932, when Harold Jasper purchased the company from Mr. Andy Egan’s widow following his sudden passing. As the third and fourth generation of Jaspers considered long-term succession plans, Weaver stood out as a clear leader.
“The Jasper family is confident in the future of Egan with Chris at the helm, and that sentiment is fully supported by the rest of Egan’s directors,” said Jasper. “Our customers and employees can expect the same steady leadership, trusted relationships and commitment to quality that Egan has delivered for generations.” Going further, Jasper noted that Weaver is committed to maintaining and building on the outstanding culture that the company is known for, exemplified by its frequent appearances on lists of best companies to work for in both the region and nation.
Weaver joined Egan’s Design-Build department in 2000 as an engineer with an HVACR Engineering Technology Degree from Ferris State University. He worked with the skilled trades to implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) companywide at a time when few contractors were adopting these techniques. A frequent speaker at industry conferences and trade shows, Weaver is currently on the Ferris State University HVACR Advisory Board and the Core Group for the Lean Construction Institute of Michigan CoP. He has also served as Chair of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) Technology Committee and is the Past President of the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (ASAM). In his role as Egan’s President, Weaver will lead the company’s more than 600 employees and four offices throughout West Michigan.
