Mueller Associates marks 60 years of engineering in 2026
The company will celebrate with several programs, including a documentary series.

Mueller Associates will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026 with a year-long communications initiative highlighting six decades.
"Founded in 1966, Mueller Associates has spent six decades supporting institutions that play a defining role in education, research, and public life. Its portfolio spans museums, academic campuses, performing arts venues, and mission-driven facilities for organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution, George Mason University, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, Capital One Hall, and Northrop Grumman."
The anniversary program will feature a four-part documentary series exploring the firm’s founding, growth, culture and future vision, along with the publication of a commemorative anniversary book. Additional programming throughout the year will include project case studies, architect and client collaborations, leadership insights and technical storytelling aligned with Mueller’s core markets.
“Our work has always been about partnership — with clients, architects, and the engineers and designers who contribute to each project,” says Todd Garing, PE, LEED AP BD+C, president of Mueller Associates. “This anniversary allows us to reflect on that shared history while focusing on how engineering can continue to support education, culture, and community in meaningful ways.”
"By pairing historical reflection with forward-looking insight, the firm’s 60th anniversary will serve as both a milestone and a platform for ongoing dialogue around sustainability, innovation in academic environments, and the future of engineering practice."
