HomeServe North America hosted the 10th Annual Contractor Conference Awards Oct. 14-15 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.

This milestone event marked a decade of celebrating the skilled trades industry’s professionals and their achievements. The two-day event included presentations and workshops on customer service, technology and business growth strategies and an award ceremony celebrating the year’s top contractors who excel in delivering high-quality repairs in a timely manner and with exceptional customer service.

“Celebrating ten years of the HomeServe Contractor Awards underscores the meaningful partnerships we’ve built with our contractors,” said Tom Rusin, HomeServe North America CEO. “Together, we’ve raised the bar for the home repair services industry but, more importantly, simplified homeownership for our customers, one repair at a time. This is our chance to thank these dedicated professionals who exemplify quality service.”

Louie Gravance, former Walt Disney Company customer service training designer, was the keynote speaker. Additionally, exhibitors representing equipment manufacturers, technology providers and material retailers, among other services targeted toward the skilled trades, showcased their companies at the event’s tradeshow.

“It’s not just a conference; it’s a celebration of those who move the skilled trades industry forward,” said Sylvester Criscone, HomeServe senior vice president of contractor management and administration. “Over the last ten years, these awards have grown into a highly sought-after symbol of service excellence. We’re proud to bring well-deserved honors to the dedicated tradespeople who provide our shared customers high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service.”

During the ceremony, HomeServe recognized the top-performing contractor partners in the following categories:

  • HomeServe Wall of Fame. Contractors chosen for the Wall of Fame have been part of the HomeServe network for at least 10 years and have consistently delivered exceptional service over the partnership. The 2025 HomeServe Wall of Fame inductees are McAtee Plumbing Heating and Cooling of Williamsburg, Virginia and Frassica Inc. of Corona, California.
  • Diamond Award. The Diamond Award is presented to contractors who consistently deliver exceptional service through solid business practices, innovation, attention to detail and exceptional customer care. The 2025 winners are Professional Mechanical Services of Big Lake, Minnesota, and FYI Electrical and Remodeling Services of Houston, Texas.
  • Contractor of the Year. This award is presented to the contractors who are the top performers across all metrics – quality of service, timeliness and customer satisfaction – in all North America.
    • Altstadt Hoffman Plumbing Service of Evansville, Indiana, was named the Small-Mid Market Contractor of the Year.
    • BP Electric of Lexington, Ohio was named the Large Market Contractor of the Year.
  • Rookie of the Year. This award is presented to a contractor who joined the HomeServe network within the last year and has already shown themselves to be a top performer. Blands Mechanical of Indianapolis, Indiana, received the award.
  • Best Use of Technology. The award is given to the contractor who best adapts and uses the technology provided by HomeServe to serve their shared customers. Stott Plumbing and Heating of South Salt Lake, Utah, received the award.
  • HomeServe Hero Award. Chris Roney at In Control Plumbing of Winter Park, Florida, was presented with this special award for service above and beyond. When dispatched to attend a repair, Chris found a customer experiencing a medical emergency. He called emergency services and stayed with the customer until they arrived.
  • HomeServe Cares Foundation Award. The award is given to a contractor who has completed a pro bono repair for a homeowner funded by the Foundation in the past year, while showing exceptional care for that customer. PHI Group of Capitol Heights, Maryland, received the award. A $1,000 donation was made to the St. Croix Foundation for Community Development in PHI Group’s honor as part of the award.

Pinnacle Performer Awards were presented to the top-performing contractor partners in each region who consistently delivered exceptional service, held their teams to the highest level of accountability and ensured their operations were in line with HomeServe’s values and goals. Contractors in all categories were evaluated against several criteria including service quality, timeliness and customer feedback, among other measures. The winners included:

  • Superior Plumbing and Home Solutions of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
  • Proven Professional Construction Services of Garner, North Carolina, Carolinas Region.
