Rheem announced the launch the Endeavor Line Classic Plus Series iR Residential Packaged Dual Fuel Units (RDFXYC). The RDFXYC units combine a heat pump and gas furnace into one versatile system. The RDFXYC unit is available in 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-ton models in both single- and three-phase configurations. The system features cooling efficiencies up to 15.2 SEER2 and heating efficiencies of 7.2 HSPF2. On extremely cold days, the unit switches to two-stage gas heat, with an AFUE rating of 81%, to ensure consistent comfort even in the harshest of climates. Homeowners can set a preferred temperature threshold, and when outdoor conditions fall below that point, the system automatically transitions from heat pump to gas furnace operation.

Key features include smart features, quiet operation, accessible size and eco-efficiency. The units include a 10-year compressor warranty, a 10-year conditional parts warranty with registration, and a limited lifetime stainless steel heat exchanger warranty for residential applications.
