Joe Myers receives the Terry Sherman Memorial Award
Milwaukee Valve's regional manager was the recipient of the award this year.

Milwaukee Valve’s Joe Myers was the recipient of the 2024 Terry Sherman Memorial Award. Myers is Milwaukee Valve’s Northeast regional manager, and the award was bestowed during the company’s 2025 National Sales Meeting in Nashville, TN.
Prior to his passing in 2003, Terry Sherman was Milwaukee Valve’s VP of sales. He was known as the most enthusiastic promoter of Milwaukee Valve products and initiatives in the company, and a positive force throughout the entire valve industry. He was also renowned for his “Valve Schools,” which were directed at sales representative agencies, specifying engineers, installing contractors and distribution partners.
In recognition of his years of service and loyalty to Milwaukee’s sales representative agencies and enthusiasm for the PVF industry, the Terry Sherman Memorial Award was created. Nominations for the award are solicited from each Milwaukee Valve regional manager, with input from the Milwaukee Valve management team.
For more than 25 years, Joe Myers has been an institution throughout New York and New England. Noted for his own valve schools, Myers has trained thousands of installing contractors, specifying engineers and distribution sales personnel, including counter personnel, in proper application of valves and flow-control equipment in commercial and industrial piping systems.
Over the past year, Joe has also worked closely with his son Joey, in succession planning for the Northeast territory. Joey has been employed as a Milwaukee Valve district manager, learning the business, immersing himself in valve application information and conducting his own valve schools for his customer base.
