How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

DM: I have worked for MIFAB since Jan. 1 of this year. However, I gained a substantial amount of knowledge in high school, working for a local wholesaler.

What drew you into the industry?

DM: The people. I grew up working around blue collar, hardworking individuals. The people in this industry are some of the most interesting and hardworking I have ever met.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

DM: Problem-solving daily. Every day is a new issue and a new challenge to tackle. I learn something new every day, even on my days off.

What motivates you every day?

DM: The leadership team I work for makes it easy to get excited to go to work every day. I know they are among the hardest-working individuals in this industry. All I have to do is follow their example.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

DM: It is not boring! People may think nothing interesting happens in this industry, but there is innovation everywhere. There is more to the plumbing industry than just talking about pipes and fittings.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

DM: The relationships that I have made with the amazing people in this industry. I am still relatively new but there are people all over the place who have supported me and helped me transition seamlessly into my current role.
