Meet Alayna Chavez, plumber at Parker & Sons. She took advantage of free trade school opportunities and took the chance at plumbing. That was seven years ago and she hasn't turned back since.

Tracy Gawecki is the regional sales manager at Oatey. Discovering the plumbing industry at a college career fair, she was intrigued by its essential role in everyday life. Recognizing its stability and complexity, Tracy chose plumbing as her career, finding satisfaction in its continual learning opportunities.

Meet Katie Byrd, CEO of Clarksburg Plumbing. Formerly a pharmacy technician, she decided to stay home to raise her twin boys and help out with her family business.  The rest is history.

PHCCCONNECT 2024 will be held Oct. 7-9, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Rob Bertolino Plumbing & Heating in Virginia Beach, Virginia, was named PHCC Plumbing Contractor of the Year.

Tim Rutledge, a deeply committed instructor at the PHCC-GSA Training Facility in Sacramento, California, was named 2023 Plumbing Instructor of the Year. Brian Millard of the PHCC of Iowa Apprenticeship Program was named 2023 HVAC Instruction of the Year.

Sponsored by Delta Faucet, the award recognizes the outstanding skill and achievements of those enrolled in a plumbing training program. It was presented Oct. 27 at PHCCCONNECT2023 in Cleveland, Ohio.

A total of 21 plumbing and 11 HVAC apprentices from across the nation took part in the contests.

This month, PHCC — National Association President to Dave Frame, owner of Bob Frame Plumbing Services, South Bend, Indiana will pass the torch Joe Cornetta, third-generation co-owner of Elmont, New York-based Cornetta Bros.
