IPS Corp., a manufacturer of adhesives, solvent cements and labor-saving rough-in components for the plumbing and roofing industries, has named Chris Capone vice president of sales for the Plumbing Division.

Capone will direct a team of regional managers and will be responsible for the sales performance of the plumbing wholesale business in the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining IPS Corp., Capone was vice president and general manager of U.S. trade sales for American Standard Brands. In this position, he coordinated the many brands under American Standard and positioned them in the wholesale plumbing distribution network. Capone also worked closely with finance, product development, marketing and operations to rebuild the division strategy to target specific vertical markets.

Prior to American Standard Brands, Capone held various sales and management positions at Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath.
