Mr. Rooter Plumbing announced the appointment of Doyle James as president of the company.

James was a Mr. Rooter franchisee in 1989, one of the first franchisees after the Mr. Rooter organization was acquired by what would become The Dwyer Group. James began his career at Dwyer Group in March 1997, serving first in franchise support and then as vice president of operations for Aire Serv before accepting the position of chief operations officer in June 2003. James was appointed president of Aire Serv heating and air conditioning in 2004.

James also serves as president for ProTradeNet, part of Dwyer Group’s vendor relations department, since February 2006. He has grown ProTradeNet to become one of the top buying groups in the industry and has spoken on buying group strategies at the International Franchise Association’s annual conference. James is a certified franchise executive under the International Franchise Association’s training program and has held master licenses in four trades prior to coming on board with Dwyer Group.

I look forward to continuing this trend, with the assistance of our dedicated associates and successful franchisees.”

James will be succeeding Mary Kennedy Thompson, who is assuming the role of chief operating officer of Dwyer Group.
