The Nexstar Legacy Foundation announced that Jeffrey Reichl is its first recipient of the $5,000 Troops to Trades/AC Pro scholarship, which is available to veterans who are interested in entering the heating and cooling service industry.

Reichl served in the Army for five years as a part of the historic 82nd Airborne Division. He served two tours overseas in both Iraq and Afghanistan as a parachute infantryman.

“My military service is something I am very proud of,” he said. “My deployments helped me to become the man I am today.”

The Troops to Trades program is dedicated to increasing the number of veterans, National Guard and Reserve members who successfully find careers in the plumbing, HVAC and electrical industry.

The Troops to Trades program also has a Jim “Buddha” Potts scholarship fund that provides scholarships and training grants to military veterans. Individuals interested in either contributing to this fund or starting their own Troops to Trades donor-named scholarship can visit TroopsToTrades.org to learn more or contact Renée Cardarelle at reneec@nexstarfoundation.org, 651/789-8518.
