Program historically focused on HVAC expands its pool of recipients to include students in plumbing and electrical trades.

Applications are available now for the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation 2025 scholarship program. 

I recently visited PPATEC, where passionate instructors prepare HVAC/R technicians through hands-on training. Their immersive courses often lead to job offers before graduation. Military veteran Ben Farber is a standout example of the program's impact, showcasing the bright future of skilled trades.

Applicants must be plumbing or HVAC apprentices or trade school students, or college students pursuing studies directly related to the plumbing-heating-cooling industry.

The donation, presented at WHVACR's 21st Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas, includes $50,000 to be awarded in 2024 and an additional $50,000 in 2025. 

ASHRAE has announced the recipients of 36 Society scholarships, totaling $208,500, for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The application deadline for each scholarship is Sept. 30..

OESP, an organization comprising hundreds of dedicated industry professionals in the Northeast, announced the winners of its 2023-2024 industry awards.

The deadline for all applications is Wednesday, May 1.

This year, the program will award $200,000 in scholarships to 40 students across the U.S. and Canada to support trade education.
