One of the popular activities at PHCC’s national convention is the Plumbing Apprenticeship Contest. Sponsored by the PHCC Educational Foundation, the 2010 Plumbing Apprentice Contest offers third, fourth-, and fifth-year plumbing apprentices an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a practical, hands-on event. This year’s contest will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Paris Hotel.
New this year is PHCC Town, a community where contractors, manufacturers and other vendors will gather to learn and exchange ideas about products, technologies and advancements in the PHC industry. Attendees can stroll down Main Street, Behind the Wall Street or Bottom Line Boulevard and gain new perspectives to enhance their companies’ success. In addition, special presentations will be held in Town Square. PHCC Town will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 28.
Besides gambling, the Paris Hotel offers many amenities: a 460-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower, where you can ride to the top; a spa (open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily); shopping venues (Bally’s-Paris Promenade and Le Boulevard); five bars; 11 restaurants (including the five-star Eiffel Tower Restaurant, French bistro Mon Ami Gabi and Impressionist art-inspired Les Artistes Steakhouse); and a rooftop pool beside the replica Eiffel Tower.
