Rheem Canada consolidated the physical operations of its three business units into a single headquarters and distribution center in Brampton, Ontario, a Toronto suburb.

Rheem Canada consolidated the physical operations of its three business units – heating and cooling; water heating; and swimming pool heaters and boilers (marketed under the Rheem, Ruud, Raypak and WeatherKing labels) – into a single headquarters and distribution center in Brampton, Ontario, a Toronto suburb. The relocation to the new 220,000-square-foot, two-story facility is designed to drive higher levels of customer service as well as operational efficiency.

With more than 60 employees, Rheem Canada is now responsible for all operations and distribution under the leadership of General ManagerDave McPherson. In addition, the restructuring will set up an enlargement of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning unit, according to Rheem Canada Market ManagerPaul Gharghoury. “The HVAC expansion opportunity enables Rheem Canada to hire new employees and help stimulate the local job market,” he stated in the announcement.

Besides more space for office and warehousing, the new building will also feature a 10,000-square-foot training facility for use by virtually the entire supply chain. The facility will include a 60-person training room, a showroom to display current products, and an engineering lab for hands-on product training and testing.

The building, which is currently being processed for LEED certification, may also soon become one of the largest registered commercial buildings in Canada to be LEED-certified.
