The final E-Verify regulations were published last November. The rules require direct federal prime contractors (contracts of $100,000 or more) and their subcontracts ($3,000 or more) to E-Verify all employees working on covered federal contracts and subcontracts and all new hires added company-wide during the term of the covered public contract. The rules are in effect for solicitations issued and contracts entered into on or after Jan. 15, 2009.
