New Campaign To Revive Pride In Craftsmanship
NCCER launches its “Cornerstone of
Craftsmanship” campaign to re-instill pride, professionalism and respect for
craftsmen.
The not-for-profit educational foundation created by the construction industry, The National Center for Construction Education and Research, announced the launch of a new marketing campaign “to revive the meaning and importance of craftsmanship in the construction industry.” The “Cornerstone of Craftsmanship” campaign is intended to re-instill pride, professionalism and respect into the industry, and rebuild a prestigious image of craft professionals.
“Our industry was built on the foundation of craftsmanship,” announced Don Whyte, NCCER president. “It is pride in craftsmanship that has attracted many generations of workers to follow in their parents’ footsteps. Reviving craftsmanship is crucial to attracting and our future workforce.”
The campaign will spotlight craft professionals who embody craftsmanship and demonstrate the qualities that make the construction industry honorable. Individual profiles will be featured in a series of national print ads and on the company Web site to help educate the general public about the many rewarding career paths within construction.
Other components of the campaign include various promotional items such as brochures, hard hat decals, job site banners and vehicle magnets. Select items will be available for purchase from the NCCER Web site at www.nccer.org.
