Two GreenPlumbers courses will be featured at the PHCC Connect 2009, Oct. 21-23 in New Orleans.

While many of the educational seminars are not finalized yet, The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors - National Association will hold the two green seminars as part of its recent partnership with GreenPlumbers USA. One part of the arrangement includes promoting the group’s courses and enhancing the GreenPlumbers’ national efforts to train and certify plumbers on various water- and energy-saving techniques.

The PHCC has purposefully picked Wednesday, Oct. 21, to present the two courses, since at four hours each, the seminars are longer than the usual educational seminars held at past conventions.

The GreenPlumbers Inspection Report Service seminar will be from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by the GreenPlumbers Solar Hot Water seminar from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The first course will cover water and energy audits for residential and commercial/industrial buildings. The second course will feature sizing installation matters, as well as tax credit and other rebate information. These are just two parts of a five-course, 32-hour accreditation process to help train plumbers in environmental issues.
