A different approach to water conservation. Here are some dual-flush options and accessories on the market today.

Actuator Flush Panels

Elegant actuator flush panels from Geberit are distinguished with attractive design. They give each bathroom special charm, and incorporate water saving possibilities with dual- or single-flush functionality. This visible element, available in multiple styles, finishes and materials, provides the finishing touch to your design.

The Samba Dual Flush (pictured) is made of high quality plastic with two overlapping eclipses for a young and fresh, lively bathroom design.

The Bolero is a square-shaped plastic plate designed to complement current bathroom styles. www.geberitnorthamerica.com

Dual-Flush Fixture

The Caroma Royale 270 (1.6/ 0.8 gal) dual-flush washdown bowl with open flushing rim features a 4-inch trapway as standard. Fits standard 12-inch rough in.

Wall-Hung Dual-Flush

Also from Caroma, the Walvit wall-hung bowl and water wafer is a concealed 1.6/0.8 gal dual-flush plastic tank suitable for inwall or induct applications. The tank features a space-saving reduced thickness of 3 inches, allowing installation to minimum wall cavities of 4-inch studwork using two quick clip mounting brackets. For greater design flexibility, pneumatically activated push buttons are standard and can be positioned on the wall to suit the application. www.caromausa.com

Two-Piece Design

The Aquia™ dual-flush toilet (1.6 gpf/0.9 gpf) from TOTO features an elongated skirted design in a two-piece toilet. With Dual-Max™ flushing system and push-button style flush option; large 2 1/8-inch fully glazed trapway; and a five-year limited warranty. Its dual flush performance option allows appropriate water usage. Upgrade with an oval SoftClose seat. www.totousa.com

Dual Force™ Technology

Rockton™, a 12-inch rough-in round-front toilet with Dual Force Technology from Sterling, allows the choice of 0.8 gallon flush for liquid or light waste. The 1.6 gallon flush is for bulk or solid waste. According to the company, Dual Force technology can save the average family of four up to 6,000 gallons of water per year with the 0.8-gallon option. Two-button actuator provides easy-to-use flushing options. Crafted of Grade A vitreous china to provide a durable, non-porous product with a hard, glossy finish. A sanitary guard helps prevent liquid from getting under the tank. LEED compliant. CSA certified. Meets strict flushing performance guidelines established by the EPA WaterSense program. www.sterlingplumbing.com

Dual-Flush Tank

Kohler’s Escale® dual-flush toilet tank offers styling that integrates with the European contemporary design of the company’s Escale Suite. This tank is available in a limited palette of Kohler colors. Its dual flush option (1.6 or 0.8 gallons) includes a top-mount flush actuator. Combines with K-19038 Escale dual-flush elongated toilet bowl to create K-19796 Escale Elongated toilet. www.us.kohler.com
