The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) will join industry organizations and equipment manufacturers in hosting the 13th Annual HVACR and Plumbing Instructor Workshop, March 5-7, at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va.

The purpose of this annual industry-driven event is to provide instructors and administrators of apprentice and secondary and post-secondary school-based instructional programs with information to help train the next generation of skilled workers in the HVACR and plumbing industries.

The three-day workshop, which draws hundreds of instructors from technical education programs across the country, will focus on the latest technologies through hands-on sessions from a wide range of manufacturers. In addition to networking with industry experts, instructors also will learn from presenters and each other about new and innovative teaching techniques and student recruitment tools.

The 2008 Instructor Workshop is sponsored by a coalition of industry trade associations: Air Conditioning Contractors of America; AHRI; Council of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Educators; Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International; North American Technician Excellence; the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association; RSES; and SkillsUSA.

The event also will feature more than a dozen exhibitors including Appion Inc.; Bradford White; Jay R. Smith Mfg.; GE/Regal Beloit; Hydronics Institute; Lennox/Service Experts; Sporlan Division-Parker Hannifin; Testo; and York/JCI.
