The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers presented its 2007 Industry Awards during the association’s convention held in Hershey, Pa.

The National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOHSM) presented its 2007 Industry Awards at a banquet on May 22 during the association’s convention held in Hershey, Pa. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented toJohn Griffinof the Nassau-Suffolk Chapter.Griffin began his career in the industry 30 years ago and continues to look for new ways to involve himself in the industry. He is past chapter president and past national vice president of NAOHSM, as well as a contributing writer to industry magazines.

Other awards include:
  • Instructor of the Year - Nick Domiano, an HVAC instructor for many years, is currently teaching at the North Montco Career Technical Center, Lansdale, Pa. He is a member of the NAOHSM Bucks-Mont Chapter.

  • Associate of the Year - Mark Collins is active in the oilheat industry and a member of the New Haven and Fairfield County Chapters of NAOHSM. He currently is a regional technical representative for Burnham Hydronics Corp.

  • Manufacturer of the Year - Buderus

  • Service Manager of the Year - Ralph Adams teaches two nights a week at the local community college and serves as a national education co-chair. He serves as a national vice president of NAOHSM.

  • Hugh McKee Award - Bob Plante of the Rhode Island Chapter teaches oil burner technology for the New England Institute of Technology, Warwick, R.I. He has served as the chapter treasurer for many years.
