The acquisition of Hughes Supply by The Home Depot was recently completed. Hughes Supply shareholders overwhelmingly approved the agreement. The close of the transaction more than doubles the size of Home Depot Supply; the newly combined organization has more than 20,000 employees in more than 900 locations with projected 2006 sales of $12 billion.
