Charges Result In Loss For Comfort Systems
Comfort Systems USA announced a net loss of $217.2 million ($5.79 per share) for its first quarter of fiscal year 2002. The results include a charge for an accounting change for reporting goodwill and a charge for the sale of certain operations.
Revenues dropped from $204.3 million in the first quarter of 2001 to $190.6. This is partly due to the economy and the sale of 19 units to EMCOR.
