An update on industry Web sites.

  • The Department of Labor announced it has updated its www.Women-21.gov Web site to offer women entrepreneurs additional online resources, such as online registration for events and a new search function.

  • The Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association of Northern Illinois won the APEX Award for Publication Excellence in 2004 for its Web site, www.pamcani.org, for the fourth year in a row.

  • The Build.com Building and Home Improvement Network announced these additions: Nova Plumbing Technologies, which makes valves, fittings and stops, joined the PlumbingHVAC.com marketing and communications programs; Plumbing.com now offers commercial products to its line; Bemis Manufacturing is now a participant in the Homebuilding.com, KBSource.com and PlumbingHVAC.com programs; and Kingston Brass, which makes showerheads, grab bars, tub faucets and fillers, lav faucets and soap dispensers, is now a participant in the KBSource.com program.

  • Associated Builders and Contractors redesigned its Try Tools site, www.trytools.org, to highlight career opportunities in the construction industry and offer educational resources for elementary and high school students, as well as parents and teachers. The group also redesigned its online newsletter, Newsline.
