The Milwaukee Valve Co. is now operating in its 100th year. The family-owned business, which began selling valves in 1901, is still headquartered in Milwaukee. Today, the company manufactures more than 4,000 items under the leadership of Herschel Seder, who has been at the forefront of the firm's growth for more than 40 years.
Jay R. Smith Celebrates 75 Years
It began in a basement in New York, but Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co. has endured to become one of the industry's leading plumbing and drainage product manufacturer for the non-residential construction market. The company celebrates 75 years in the business this month.
Chicago Faucets Rep Of The Year
Chicago Faucets announces Renco Sales of Corona, Calif., as the 2000 Chicago Faucets Sales Representative of the Year. George Vandergrift, owner of Renco Sales, was recently presented with the President's Award, a crystal ball with intricate etchings.
Leonard Farbman Lifetime Achievement Award
The Plumbing Foundation of the city of New York has created the Leonard Farbman Lifetime Achievement Award to be awarded periodically to a member of the industry who has served with distinction as a role model for the industry.
