“Ask The Home Ranger,” a PHC radio show created by the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Information Bureau, may become part of a new radio network currently being developed by the House & Garden cable network.

At last month’s September PHCIB meeting, executive director David Weiner said the new network, which will debut next year, is very interested in developing a live call-in show hosted by Kansas City contractor Roger Peugeot, aka, Roger The Plumber.

In other news, Weiner said the Bureau plans on celebrating its 80th Anniversary by, among other items, developing a consumer book along the lines of “101 Answers to Your Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Questions.” The resource may also be tied in with the “Home Ranger” show. Weiner said major bookseller Barnes & Noble is interested in stocking such a book.
