FloLogic Remote I/O Module
New wireless module enables flexible integration with plumbing and smart home devices.
FloLogic has introduced the FloLogic Remote I/O (Input/Output) Module, a new wireless integration solution that expands the capabilities of the FloLogic leak detection and automatic water shutoff platform. The Remote I/O module enables wireless communication between FloLogic systems and third-party water-using devices, plumbing controls, alarm systems and home automation platforms through configurable input and output connections.
The introduction of Remote I/O advances the adaptability of FloLogic’s connected smart plumbing ecosystem. Previously, integration with external devices required the use of a FloLogic Legacy Control Panel and a wired connection to the FloLogic System. With Remote I/O, users can now place the module near the connected device anywhere on the premises.
The Remote I/O module enables a wide range of applications, including irrigation systems, water softeners, pool and fountain autofill systems, well pumps, hot water recirculation pumps, security systems, home automation platforms, and third-party water sensors. Configurable inputs can be used to authorize extended water use for designated devices, helping prevent nuisance shutoffs during normal operation, while outputs can communicate FloLogic system status to external equipment and controllers, such as to disable hot water recirculation during a shutoff or when a property is unoccupied, protecting the pump and creating greater water heating energy efficiency.
