FGI Industries Ltd. announced FLUSH GUARD Anti-Overflow Toilets, a toilet solution designed to help prevent overflows while providing a more comfortable and accessible experience for a wide range of users – from children and older adults to individuals with physical or cognitive impairments. At the core of FLUSH GUARD is a patented secondary drainage system that activates when the primary trapway becomes clogged. Three anti-overflow holes in the bowl direct rising water through a secondary trapway and into the standard waste system before it can overflow onto the bathroom floor. The secondary trapway is rinsed with every flush, helping maintain the system without additional maintenance. 

FLUSH GUARD incorporates Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-adapted features. Available configurations include Plus Height models with a 17-inch seat height to make sitting and standing easier for seniors, wheelchair users, and anyone with limited mobility; an oversized flush handle for users with limited strength or dexterity; and a soft-close seat that closes slowly and quietly. The passive anti-overflow system requires no apps, sensors or additional steps from the user. If the primary trapway becomes clogged, the secondary drainage path automatically provides an additional level of overflow protection.
