GrayWolf announced the DirectSense, a portable and adaptable probe-datalogger designed for applications in indoor air quality, occupational hygiene, HVAC, green buildings and environmental monitoring. The device supports up to eight interchangeable smart sensors, allowing users to measure a wide range of parameters such as VOCs, formaldehyde and various toxic gases, as well as temperature and humidity. Designed for flexibility, the probe can be handheld, desktop-mounted, or wall-mounted for continuous monitoring. Built-in data logging captures months of readings without the need for a connected device. It offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB connectivity, and is compatible with Windows, Android, iOS, and MacOS platforms. Data can be viewed locally or through cloud integration for remote access and long-term storage.
The unit includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, integrated fans to reduce heat artifacts and a rugged enclosure suited for both field and stationary use. Calibration data is stored on each sensor’s micro-board, enabling easy sensor replacement without manual adjustments. The DirectSense XM is intended for both spot checks and long-term studies, providing flexibility and data reliability across diverse environmental and industrial settings.
