Watts has announced the launch of its new SmartStream UV water disinfection system, designed to deliver high-performance water treatment for residential and light commercial applications. The SmartStream system has been independently tested and verified by an accredited third-party laboratory to disinfect water with more than a 99.99999% reduction of E. Coli bacteria and more than a 99.999% reduction of Hepatitis A virus at its rated flow rate.

SmartStream UV is available in three models, offering flow rates of 2 gallons per minute (gpm), 8 gpm, and 12 gpm to meet a variety of sizing needs. The system features built-in fail-safe protection, including an audible and visual alarm that alerts users when the ultraviolet lamp needs to be replaced or has failed. To streamline installation and operation, the system includes a ballast that functions as both the power source and the control center for the UV lamp.
