Also at the 2020 AHR Expo in February, the Hydronics Industry Alliance — the Commercial (HIA-C) committee of the RPA — will once again host a breakfast meeting on Feb. 5. Attendees will learn about the HIA-C’s efforts to level the playing field regarding HVAC equipment ratings, which many members believe are artificially skewed in favor of variable refrigerant flow technologies due to the testing and rating procedures in place today. The HIA-C has been closely involved in the proceedings of the US Department of Energy’s Variable Refrigerant Flow Multi-Split Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps Working Group, where a wide variety of interested parties are participating.
