IAPMO’s conference highlighted collaboration, innovation and a shared commitment to public health and safety across the industry.

Bradford White Corporation engineers will deliver the seminar “Navigating the Future of Commercial Water Heating: Key Insights on DOE 2026 Updates, Efficiency, Venting, and Retrofit Design.” 

The four groups will work together to promote and advance several aspects of plumbing systems, including education and regulation. 

On Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, at 12 p.m. ET, participants will discover how advanced leak detection solutions can protect commercial and multi-family properties from costly water damage and minimize financial risk through seamless system integration.

The deadline to submit a presentation proposal is Feb. 28, 2025.

Volume 4 covers selection and sizing practices for various components and equipment, including fixtures, pipes, valves, pumps, insulation, hangers, supports, grease interceptors, and more.

Scott Steindler, CPD, LEED BD+C, ARCSA-AP(IS), GPD, GGP, FASPE, has over 31 years in the plumbing industry and is currently the national industrial manager for Watts Water Technologies. Known for his enthusiasm and service, he was inducted into the ASPE College of Fellows in 2020 and volunteers with the City of Phoenix's CERT. Steindler was named PM Engineer’s 2024 Plumbing Engineer of the Year.

This year’s theme will focus on the nexus between sustainability and safety, while avoiding unintended consequences of each. 

The Water Demand Calculator has been adopted in several states and cities, including California and Seattle, and is expanding peak flow rate calculations into commercial buildings. The future looks bright as version 3.0 is in the works for commercial buildings.
