The U.S. Green Building Council and the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture
and Urban Planning released a landmark report Feb. 29 that describes
how green buildings advance resiliency in disasters.
By submitting warranty registrations on Noritz
products installed between March 1 and Dec. 31, 2012, participating contractors
will earn chances to win prizes in monthly and quarterly drawings.
The Nexstar Legacy Foundation is now
accepting applications for management- and technician-focused scholarships
through March 31 for the 2012-2013 academic year.
In 2012, up to 24 scholarships totaling more
than $60,500 are targeted at students pursuing a course of study directly
related to the plumbing/heating/cooling industry.
The seal on the cylinders -- used
for soldering, brazing, cutting and welding -- can leak
after torches or other fuel-consuming equipment are disconnected from them,
posing a fire hazard.
