Williams Distributing, Co., a distributor for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and residential building products in the Great Lakes region, has been acquired by Daikin Comfort Technologies North America.

Both acquisitions are a part of Goettl’s “Goettlize the Nation” strategy and will serve as significant additions to Goettl’s market presence.

This past year has been an unprecedented year for the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) space, hitting $5 trillion in volume in 2021 through over 40,000 transactions. The number of transactions in the distribution and manufacturing space has caused owners to take a closer look at their options regarding selling and/or acquisition options.

Under its new ownership, the Elizabethtown plumbing company will still operate as Hornback Plumbing.

This is a historic event for the family-owned and operated company, marking the first time it has grown through acquisition since its founding in 1955.

The acquisition, which is subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Sussman Electric Boiler will continue its current operation out of its Long Island City, New York location.

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company has announced that effective July 13, the company has purchased Neenah Enterprises, headquartered in Neenah, Wisconsin.
