For the first time ever, the ASHRAE Winter Conference will be presented in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and virtual options for participation for attendees, provides convenience and affords global participation with a group of the world’s leading presenters delivering timely and useful industry content.
The publication was created to be used alongside ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2019 and explains how to apply the criteria set out by the standard, by providing examples, sample calculations and best practices for professionals concerned with ventilation and indoor air quality in nonresidential buildings.
The 2021 edition delivers critical guidance for designers and operators of these front-line facilities and incorporates 17 addenda to the 2017 edition of the standard.
The ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force has been developing and disseminating guidance for the control of airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 since its formation in March 2020.
A team of ASHRAE volunteers led a highly successful building campaign to garner support for the renovation project. Thirty-one corporate donors committed more than $9.7 million in monetary support and gifts of equipment and services.
Also included is guidance formulated to help designers retrofit and plan for the improvement of indoor air quality and to slow the transmission of viruses via the HVAC systems as well as new guidance on student health facilities, laboratories, athletic facilities, residence halls, and large assemblies, lectures and theaters.
