GeoStar introduces two new commercial water-source units to its product line — the Aston Compact and the Arbor Base — and announces upgrades to the GeoStar Arbor.

The GeoStar Aston Compact offers industry-leading efficiencies (3.7 to 4.8 Coefficient of Performance and 18 to 30 Energy Efficiency Ratio) in a very compact cabinet. Available in capacities from 0.75 to 6 tons, the unit features the Aurora generation of communicating controls and a variety of options, including a factory-installed 24V motorized on/off water valve option for variable-frequency drive pumping with automatic internal water flow control; hot gas bypass and reheat; and high-efficiency permanent split capacitor, five-speed electronically commutated motor or variable-speed ECM blower motors.

The GeoStar Arbor Base combines a compact design, high-efficiency operation (3.3 to 3.5 COP and 15.6 to 17.0 EER) and a number of value-added features in a 0.5- to 6-ton unit. Like the Aston Compact, the Arbor Base uses environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant and exceeds ASHRAE 0.1 efficiencies. Both units are perfect for retrofit and boiler/tower applications.

Upgrades to the GeoStar Arbor Series include the addition of Aurora communicating controls and a five-speed ECM blower motor option. This newest option joins the high-efficiency PSC and variable-speed ECM options previously available to customers.
